In U-8 Boys, Muhd Haziman, 6th rank, has defeated Zhi Qi. While, giant killer Wong Zi Yue great run came to halt when he lost to Ng Shi Yang. Another dark-horse Looi continues to upset the form book by defeating 8th ranked Timothy.

In U-10 Boys, all top five rated players except Faqih won their Round 3 encounter. Faqih was held to a draw by Zhi Xuan.

In U-12 Boys, this category has the most number of upsets. In this round, it was Yong Zhao and Jaron to lose their games. Both players have advantages over the opponent in middlegame, however, their opponents produce some brilliant moment to win in endgames.
