Malaysian Masters 2014 (WOMEN): Schedule
This Women category shall be played from 30th April until 4th May at DAT Chess Centre, 2nd Floor, Wilayah Complex. The top 5 finishers (excluding NC 2014 qualifiers) after tie-break counts applied will join NC 2014 qualifiers to form a 8-woman National Women Squad 2014/2015. In addition, the top 5 finishers (including NC 2014 qualifiers) will represent Malaysia in Chess Olympiad 2014 at Tromso, Norway.

MCF Selection 2014 (MEN)
With the conclusion of Malaysian Masters 2014, the 4th to 6th placing will play another round robin to qualify for Tromso Olympiad.

Malaysian Masters Chess Championship 2014 (MEN): Yeoh Li Tian Champs
Yeoh Li Tian is the newly crowned Masters Champion with 1 round to spare. His 4 wins from 4 games against some of the country top players is a just simple proof of his growing strength.
Tomorrow last round @ 2pm shall be very interesting to watch especially the game between Tze Han vs Ahmad Fadzil. Whoever wins, he shall be placed 2nd and the loser may end up 4th and have to play in the MCF Selection on 26th and 27th April. Meanwhile, Aron needs to win against Sumant tomorrow and wait for Tze Han vs Fadzil match result. Where as, Yit San and Sumant are no longer in contention for top 3 placing in this Masters.

Possible outcome after tomorrow last game, a 3-way tie in points and tie-break counts.
The following rules shall be applied
1. In an event of tie between 3 participants after tie-break counts (P/E, Number of Wins, S/B, Koya) applied
1.1 Play single round robin rapid game using 25 minutes with 10 seconds increment from move 1;
1.2 If no conclusive result / tie for scores from 1.1, play single round robin blitz game using 5 minutes to the finish;
1.3 If no conclusive result / tie for scores from 1.2, play single round robin sudden-death blitz game [White is given 6 minutes, while Black is given 5 minutes]. In a case of draw result, Black shall be declared as match winner.

PMB NAG Chess Championship 2014 : Namelist
A new record in term of number of participants competing in this year NAG is created with a total of 522 players from all over the country will be competing for honour at UNITEN, Bangi from 25th to 27th April. To make this edition even more memorable, 13th World Champion GM Garry Kasparov will be the Guest of Honour during the Opening Ceremony.
This edition will see a total of 14 Age-Group categories namely Under-6 Boys and Girls, Under-8 Boys and Girls, Under-10 Boys and Girls, Under-12 Boys and Girls, Under-14 Boys and Girls, Under-16 Boys and Girls, and Under-18 Boys and Girls. Top 4 players in each category will be selected into National Youth Squad 2014/2015.
